Working Equitation
An equestrian discipline intended to promote the traditional styles of riding used during fieldwork in different countries. It is split in three or 4 parts and it can be competed as individual or for teams.
The four parts are:
Dressage: freestyle to music within a time scale
Trial: horse and rider must overcome obstacles similar to the ones we might encounter in a field, such as bridges, gates or small jumps.
Speed: similar obstacles to the trial but against the clock.
Cow: only for team competitors, where they have to round a specific number of cows.
